The White House has declared war on what it calls “fake news” by creating a website to identify cases where it says media outlets are misrepresenting the facts, including a “Hall of Shame” for repeat or especially serious offenders. The new site, launched with the slogan “Misleading. Biased. Exposed,” names the Boston Globe, CBS News, and The Independent as its first “media offenders of the week.”
