Six people, including two children, were wounded in a mass shooting early Saturday morning in Maryland. In a statement posted on social media, the Anne Arundel County Police Department said an officer responded to reports of an “unknown disturbance” at approximately 4:49 am in a suburban neighborhood outside Baltimore. Upon arriving at the scene, officers encountered a large crowd and located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported by emergency medical personnel to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. As the investigation continued, police were notified that several additional gunshot victims had arrived at three different area hospitals seeking treatment.
